JSLS2016大会に先立って以下のようなチュートリアルを企画いたしました。講師はJSLS2016で基調講演を務めてくださるFranklin Chang氏です。
Tutorial: Using a permutation analysis to analyze eye tracking and looking while listening data

Eye-tracking studies often result in complex data patterns that vary over time. Traditional linear methods (e.g., regression, mixed models) are not well suited for modelling effects in this type of data. I will present a permutation analysis that can be used in a wide range of time-dependent data. The method uses the data itself to extract clusters of interest and simulates a distribution of experiments by randomly permutating the condition labels. The clusters from the actual data can be compared against the simulated distribution to determine if the clusters are significant. R code will be provided that implements the analysis.

当日は、R がインストールされたラップトップを、十分充電された状態でご持参いただくと便利です。その場合lme4およびggplot2 (Rのパッケージ）のインストールも済ませておかれることをおすすめします。
