[:ja]題目:Living with the English Language: An Autoethnography of a Language Learner The speaker, who has lived in the United States for 30 years, will discuss his life with the English language—from his humble beginning to years of developing, using and teaching English in various academic and professional contexts. Many people who are learning English in so-called EFL contexts like Japan seem to believe that the best or only way to learn English well is to live in an English-dominant context, but the speaker will try to debunk the myth of natural and easy language acquisition for adult language learners by sharing hisown experience along with his take on various theories of learning and teaching languages and literacies. Paul Kei Matsuda is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing at Arizona State University, where he works closely with doctoral students specializing in second language writing from various disciplinary perspectives.
